UCCS uses MindStrong Sport to support athletes mental performance.

Colorado athletes being introduced to the MindStrong Sport app during mental performance workshops

The University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS) has introduced the MindStrong Sport app as a part of its mental performance offering to the student-athletes.

Mountain Strong programme director, Dr Jess Kirby, said: “We’ve decided to partner with MindStrong Sport to bring  resource that we can work alongside with for our athletes. We think of this as a resource that supports all our effort at the University to provide more support and development of the minds of our athletes. The reception hs been incredible so far“

Created by former pro athlete and mental performance coach, Lewis Hatchett, the MindStrong Sport app aims to improve mental performance and health by building mental strength using meditations, visualisations, psychology lessons, and much more.

How have they implemented the app?

Athletes have been attending workshops to talk about the importance of building a mental routine. The app has been introduced through these sessions and using a QR code, athletes are able to set up and account and get started then and there.

What do the students get?

Athletes are given full access to the MindStrong Sport app library of growing content for one year of the license agreement.
